Elementary Curriculum Overview

Curriculum at Laquey Elementary is written locally and aligned to the Missouri Learning Standards. Teachers in each grade area have identified common priority standards for each content area. Priority standards address readiness, preparing students for the next level of learning, have leverage, or value in multiple disciplines, and have endurance, or value for life.  By identifying these essential learning standards, teachers are better able to design curriculum that is deep and meaningful to the students in their classroom.

Teachers are currently working at creating new unit plans and these will be added to the website as they are reviewed and approved. See Elementary Scope and Sequence for grade level priority and supporting standards.
