As we prepare for potential severe weather later today, the safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our priority. In anticipation of such situations, we want to assure you that we have comprehensive plans in place to address them effectively.
Here are some of the procedures we have in place:
The Laquey School District has designated specific areas and established procedures for all students and staff to follow during a weather event, ensuring everyone's safety in such circumstances.
In the event of severe weather occurring during dismissal time, we urge you not to jeopardize your safety by driving to the school. We will promptly communicate any changes in timing, dismissal procedures, and pick-up arrangements via multiple channels, including calls, texts, emails, our website, and social media.
Should the entire school population need to relocate to designated safe areas, please understand that it may not be possible to pick up your child or receive an immediate response if you call the school. We kindly ask for your patience and cooperation as we prioritize the safety of our students and staff.
During inclement weather conditions, our bus drivers will exercise extra caution, which may result in delays from their regular schedules. While we will communicate significant delays, please anticipate minor delays across all bus routes during such times.
We will monitor the forecast and provide you with any necessary updates to ensure that you remain well-informed and prepared.

Today's make-up Baseball game with Iberia has been canceled and will not be made up again.
