Exciting news! COMC Dental Packets went home yesterday for students who completed the interest form at the beginning of the school year. The COMC Dental bus is set to roll into Laquey towards the end of January/beginning of February!
If you didn't receive a packet but want your student to experience the COMC Dental bus at school, let Nurse Christie know, and she'll make sure a packet is sent home with your student.

Laquey School has two openings for 3-year terms on the April 2nd, 2024 election. Candidates may pick-up an application in the District Office at 27600 Hwy. AA, Laquey, MO. 65534. Qualifications are:
1. I AM A CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, AND
2. A RESIDENT TAXPAYER OF THE LAQUEY R-V SCHOOL DISTRICT, AND
3. A RESIDENT WHO HAS RESIDED IN MISSOURI FOR ONE YEAR, NEXT
4. AT LEAST TWENTY-FOUR YEARS OF AGE BY ELECTION DAY
5. MISSOURI LAW (162.203, RSMo.) REQUIRES THAT ALL SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS INITIALLY ELECTED OR APPOINTED AFTER AUGUST 28TH, 1993 COMPLETE 18.5 HOURS OF ORIENTATION & TRAINING WITHIN THEIR FIRST 12 MONTHS OF SERVICE.

Archery practice begins today from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm in the elementary gym for those that signed up. Practices will be held at this time and location every Tuesday and Thursday unless otherwise stated. Please remember to bring your signed forms if you haven't already turned those in. Students can NOT arrive for practice before 5:50 as Hornet Club is still in session. As a reminder, practices are closed to all non archers and coaches. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you tonight.

Our Laquey Hornets Soccer Team will face Maryville tomorrow at 10:00am for 3rd place of the Class 1 State Championship in Fenton, MO! Tickets are available via the MSHSAA website. Come out and cheer on the boys!!!!

Some last-minute "housekeeping" items: Game time for the Semi-Final Round is 12 NOON. The location is the World Wide Technology Soccer Park, 1 Soccer Park Road, Fenton, MO 63026. Admission is $10 and tickets must be purchased in advance on the MSHSAA website. Parking will be $5.00. Fans will not be allowed on the field at any time. There will be time to meet the team on the practice field after each game. Please do not rush the field after each game, please remain the stands. Bells and signs will be allowing but no horns, air horns, etc. will be allowed. Please remember Sportsmanship Is Best! Remember that you are representing the Laquey School District, so please act accordingly. See you in Fenton to cheer on our LAQUEY HORNETS!!! GO HORNETS!!!!
FFA members helped out at Berean Baptist Church last night. Community support and public service are components of the FFA mission. The shoeboxes will be shipped to children around the world as part of Operation Christmas Child. They are filled with toys, school supplies, and sanitary items.
A big thank you to the staff at Lake Regional Health System for partnering with the Laquey School District for the 2nd annual Health Science Career Fair. We welcomed some local area health professionals to this years event, so a thank you as well to Olive Branch Clinical Massage Therapy, Magnolia Chiropractic and our National Guard representatives. This event brings so much knowledge to not just Laquey students but also the surrounding Frisco League districts, Waynesville Nursing programs and the GOCAPS Lebanon. What an amazing opportunity for students to learn that there is more out there than just doctors and nurses in the health care field.
A special shout out to the flight helicopter and local ambulance crews for coming and giving students an up close look into their work environment.
UPDATES!! The Semi-Final Round of the Class 1 State Soccer Tournament will be held this coming Friday, November 17th, at World Wide Technology Soccer Park in Fenton, Missouri. Game time will be 12 noon. tickets will be $10 and maybe purchased at MSHSAA.com. Game Time for Saturday's game will be determined after the conclusion of Friday's game. Also, The Lady Hornets home opener against Versailles scheduled for this Friday, November 17th, is in the process of being rescheduled.
