Summer School Information

Summer School families: Due to the potential for severe weather tomorrow, we have made the decision to cancel tomorrow's Springfield Cardinals baseball game field trip. We would rather have our students here at school rather than on a bus or in the stadium should severe weather hit. We are in contact with the Springfield Cardinals to discuss options regarding our tickets.

Summer School Week 4 progress reports are being sent home today for high school students. These reports include grades and progress in their courses as well as completed credits. Students who are behind in their pacing are welcome to work at home if they wish. Those who are behind in their pacing or are not passing will not attend the Springfield Cardinals game on Wednesday, June 18 in an effort to give them as much time as possible to earn their credits.
Questions or further conversation can be sent to Mrs. Rogers (lrogers@laqueyhornets.us) or Mrs. Marlin (kmarlin@laqueyhornets.us).

The boys and girls soccer parent meeting will be moved from June 15. The new date will be June 22nd. It will be from 5:30-6:00pm in the high school commons. Please reach out to Coach Thier at athier@laqueyhornets.us for any questions.

Congratulations to Ryder Kelley, Ross Brothers, and Emma Robert for receiving their State Leadership Award at FFA Camp. To earn this award they had to attend 13 hours of Leadership training as well as serve on a committee and complete a service task. This takes dedication from the students, especially when they are missing out on recreational time, to put in the work. Congratulations!!

Welcome to Laquey Ms Helm!

10 members from the Laquey FFA are attending camp this week. It is held at Camp Rising Sun at the State Park on the Lake of the Ozarks. They have attended leadership workshops, played in tournaments, listened to agricultural speakers, and helped with kitchen duty. They even scored on their cabin cleanliness! They have met members from all corners of the state and will be bringing home new ideas for the chapter.

Thank you to the St. Robert's First Assembly of God Church and Convoy of Hope for providing our summer school students with Snack in a Pack.

Summer School Parents: Just a reminder that permission slips for the field trip to the Springfield Cardinals game are due tomorrow, June 6th!
