Here's the press release:
Junior Leadership Pulaski County 2023 Graduation
The second class for Junior Leadership Pulaski County graduated a six month community based leadership development program held October 2022 to April 2023 in Pulaski County, Missouri. Junior Leadership Pulaski County is made up of students who are high school sophomores, juniors and seniors from Pulaski County schools. Each student was nominated by a faculty member in their respective school to participate in this program. Graduates of Junior Leadership Pulaski County received a special recognition at a graduation lunch held April 15, 2023 signifying their completion of instruction and leadership development.
As an LPC Alumni Foundation, in partnership with the Waynesville-St. Robert Chamber of Commerce, Junior Leadership Pulaski County’s mission is to inspire the next generation to be community influencers by becoming their best selves now. Participants attended half day sessions once per month that introduced them to the different aspects of leadership along with personal development. The participants were introduced to various community and business leaders who shared insight on a variety of topics such as financial education, job interview skills, health & fitness, social media safety, self-defense and community service. Each session included highlighting local non-profit organizations to introduce the students to different resources and volunteer opportunities throughout the local community.
