Friday Laquey Hornets hosted Fair Grove in a home soccer match. The Hornets took a 5-3 win that evening.
Additionally, it was a special night as we honored our 4 seniors on the team. Ethan Larson, Donivan Mathis, Matthew Mendoza and Tristan Carriger shared words of wisdom for their peers as well as received gifts and well wishes from their coaches and teammates.

The fire alarms were activated this afternoon at the school due to a microwave malfunction. There was no fire and everyone is safe. The instructional day has returned to normal.
Today's Softball game @ Belle will start at 5 PM @ Belle City Park. Varsity only.
It is also SENIOR NIGHT for the Boys Soccer team. Fair Grove will be the opponent. Game starts @ 4:30 PM. Senior recognition will be at halftime.
Our FFA Chapter attended Wurdack Farm University of Missouri Field Day. Students rotated through presentations about farm management, weather, seatbelt and driving safety, electrical safety, grazing, ferrel hogs, and whitetail deer management.
Next Tuesday's (10/10) Soccer game @ Osage will start with Varsity @ 6:00 p.m. Half a JV game will follow.
Today's soccer game at Waynesville will be held at Anderson Field. this is the field on top of the hill by the animal shelter.

This upcoming week, Laquey High School will recognize mental health awareness week. This week is spirit week! You're invited to participate with us each day!
Today Laquey High School welcomed Sean Kanan as our guest speaker. Sean was an actor in Karate Kid 3, Cobra Kai and has numerous acting roles as well as an Emmy. He gave a great message about success and how students can win at life! Every student 7-12 was able to receive a signed copy of his book and pictures with him. It's a great day to be a Hornet!!!
