Elementary Read Across America Spirit Week
We would like to congratulate two of our Jr. High students for their hardwork and achievements! Jocelyn Atkins and Addison Storie were both selected as winners of the Patriot's Pen essay contest. This year's theme was "How Are You Inspired by America?". Jocelyn was selected by our local VFW Post 3168 while Addison was selected by VFW Post 2654 in Moberly. Both Jocelyn and Addison attended ceremonies where they received certificates and awards for their hardwork in this year's contest. Way to go!
As a continued celebration of National FFA Week, our chapter toured local agricultural businesses. On the list was Dairy Lane Feeds, Ozark Fisheries, K & K Meat Processing, and 4J Land and Cattle. Tomorrow we finish out the week with Drive Your Tractor to School, Camo Day, and Ag Olympics!

As part of FFA Week, it was Dress Like a Farmer Day at Laquey High School. Tomorrow is Blue/Gold or Official Dress and Teacher Appreciation.
CONGRATULATIONS to the Lady Hornets for their 49-41 victory over the Vienna Eagles in the opening round of Districts. They will play Wednesday in the Semi-Finals against top seed Crocker at 6:00 p.m.
The Hornets will open their District play tonight against 3rd seed Crocker at 8:00 p.m.

Laquey FFA is celebrating National FFA Week! Activities are planned by the students to promote the FFA Mission.
Some events/activities will include Teacher Appreciation Day, elementary schools morning greeting, Drive Your Tractor to School Day, and much more! Check back throughout the week for member and activity highlights!
Tonight is our Lady Hornets first round in the race for our district title. The Hornets will take on the Vienna Eagles at 5:00pm at the Laquey HS Gym. Come out and support the Lady Hornets!!
